TCYHA Injury Policy 04/02/2012 TCYHA Family,
We would like to briefly address our injury policy.
TCYHA 8th Annual Golf Tournament
Now that hockey season has come to an end, we are inviting the TCYHA community to come out and have some fun at this years 8th Annual golftournament being held Friday June 27th @ Townsend Ridge CC in Townsend, MA. It's a shotgun style tournament with 8:30am tee off followed by lunch, raffles and silent auction (many Bruin's game tickets and autographed memorabilia).
The golftournament is our main and ONLY source of fundraising for the organization! We do not ask the kids to sell candy, magazines or other fundraising products, but instead use the golftournament as a fun and relaxing (for some) way to help the organization. Proceeds will help defray the cost of expensive protective equipment for families who may not be able to afford it, as well as reduce the cost of ice rental for practices, games and clinics and keep the program cost per child at a reasonable rate.
We are looking for:
We cannot make this event successful without your help. In fact, if you bring in sponsors, you can earn 5 or 10% of that donation (5% for in-kind such as gift card or 10% for cash donation) back towards your 2014-15 hockey tuition. Maybe you know someone that has season tickets for Bruins/Red Sox/Patriots/Celtics/Revolution that would donate a pair, or more, tickets to a future game, that would be an awesome donation for the tournament. Maybe you know someone that has a restaurant or provide a service (ie. Salon) that would donate some gift certificates/gift cards.
Below are the golftournament signup form for your team/foursome and golf sponsor forms you can provide to potential sponsors:
In case you're looking for more hockey, our Spring Clinic has started on Saturday morning at Cushing Academy. Coach John Thibault will be running a skating clinic at 8am on Saturday mornings from now until June. We still have openings if you would like to register for the complete program and we are also offer $15 walk-ons each Saturday morning.
Our 2014-2015 season will have our largest number of players in many years. Your participation and support are really helping to build and sustain the success of our program. We can all be proud of the hockey community that we have created.
In order to let the current season complete smoothly, we will not be announcing any rosters or coaching selections before the April 15th Board of Directors meeting. After the April meeting, final coaching selections will be made and rosters will be announced. Thank you for your patience and for our current members, good luck in the playoffs!
Registration is Now Open for 2014-2014 Squirt through Bantam
It is that time of year again. TCYHA is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 2014-2015 season for those players Squirt through Bantam age. Mite registration will open at a later date. As a reminder, all Squirt through Bantam players must attend Player Evaluations being held in March. Exact dates will be published soon on this website and via email. TCYHA has seen growth in several consecutive years and we're hoping for another great season. Your participation is driving the success of our program and youth hockey is really thriving in our community.
Please be aware that TCYHA has a new payment policy in effect for Squirt through Bantam for the 2014-2015 season. This policy has been adopted by the Board of Directors in an effort to keep costs as low as possible for our families and to reduce the administrative overhead associated with operating the program. Please review the full policy prior to registration, but here are the highlights. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Multi-player discounts remain in effect for those players participating Squirt through Bantam. Discount will be $50 for the second child, $100 for the third.
All players must pay a non-refundable $50 registration fee plus a refundable $150 deposit towards the 2014-2015 season. Any player who does not pay this fee prior to the first Player Evaluation session will not be placed on a team and will be moved to the waitlist.
Any player with prior-season balances must be paid in full prior to participating in Player Evaluations.
The 2014-2015 payment schedule will consist of six scheduled payments starting April 1st and completing on September 1st. Any player who does not comply with the payment schedule may be assessed a $100 late fee and/or moved to the waitlist.
No player will be allowed to take the ice in September who is not paid in full.
Any player who is unable to comply with this payment policy must make arrangements in advance with the Treasurer.
You will be asked to acknowledge the payment policy at the conclusion of the registration process.
New Members -- Import your schedule into Google Calendar
Many of you already are doing so, but for those who have not yet, here is a video explaining how you can add your team's schedule directly into your Google Calendar so that it is available on your Android smart phone or computer.
Welcome new members. There have been many questions recently on accessing schedules for your team, particularly from new players in either No Player Left Behind, Learn to Skate, and House Hockey. Accessing your schedule is easy.
To do so, use the Team menu above in the horizontal navigation menu. From there, choose select Choose a Team, your division, and then your team. For example, U11 No Player Left behind would be Team -> No Player Left Behind -> U11 NPLB.
You will also begin to receive email notifications approximately two days before each scheduled practice or game. The email will let you know the date, time, and rink that you will be at. For those that are new, there are two rinks at the Civic Center, Gaetz and Landry. The Gaetz is the rink closest to the street. Landry is next to the Gaetz and is separated by the parking lot.
We would like to briefly address our injury policy.
In the players' best interests, any injury that results in a player missing games or receiving treatment by a physician requires a clearance note from a physician before the player will be allowed back on the ice. This note will also serve to close out the accident form that is generated at the time of injury, and will be kept in confidence.
While we do not wish to place an additional burden on you, such prudence is required for the long-term health of all of our children.
Thank you for your cooperation.
If you have any questions, please contact your division director or the players representative in person, or email the appropriate one at:
