TCYHA Injury Policy 04/02/2012 TCYHA Family,
We would like to briefly address our injury policy.
No Player Left Behind & House Hockey
We are happy to announce that we will once again be offering both the No Player Left Behind (NPLB) and House Hockey programs this fall/winter. Registration is not yet open, but will be soon. We are finalizing budgets and scheduling and hope to have registration open within the next few weeks.
Greater Worcester Community Foundation Scholarships for Hockey
REMINDER: Applications for GWCF scholarships are due on September 15.
The Greater Worcester Community Foundation is now accepting applications from families with children ages 5-17 who have difficulty paying to participate in youth hockey associations. Financial aid in the range of $50 - $200 per child will be granted from the John Carter “High Five” Youth Hockey Fund and the Christopher J. Paskell Memorial Fund. Due to limited funds, not every applicant will receive a scholarship.
The Valley League game schedule will be posted to our website shortly. You will receive game reminder notifications just as you do for practices. Please be patient for a few more days while we sync things up in our system.
Thanks to everyone who made it out today for opening day. This was our biggest opening day in a while and we're excited about getting the season launched. As always, if you have any questions, please reach out to us by contacting your Division Director. You can find contact information on our website.
Thank you also for all of you who participated in our tuition raffle. Congratulations to the Macleod's and Pajari's for being drawn. They will each receive a refund of half of their tuition!
Mite registration is now open for Twin City's U8 and U6 cross-ice Mite programs. Registration is limited, so sign up soon. We have two teams in each division. Practices will be held in Fitchburg. Games will be played in Groton. (Some U8 full ice games may require short travel, < 30 minutes). Players will be placed on teams based on their ability during the first few practices. There will be no separate Mite player evaluations. Please contact Mite Director, Eric Short, with any questions at

New Members -- Import your schedule into Google Calendar
Many of you already are doing so, but for those who have not yet, here is a video explaining how you can add your team's schedule directly into your Google Calendar so that it is available on your Android smart phone or computer.
Welcome new members. There have been many questions recently on accessing schedules for your team, particularly from new players in either No Player Left Behind, Learn to Skate, and House Hockey. Accessing your schedule is easy.
To do so, use the Team menu above in the horizontal navigation menu. From there, choose select Choose a Team, your division, and then your team. For example, U11 No Player Left behind would be Team -> No Player Left Behind -> U11 NPLB.
You will also begin to receive email notifications approximately two days before each scheduled practice or game. The email will let you know the date, time, and rink that you will be at. For those that are new, there are two rinks at the Civic Center, Gaetz and Landry. The Gaetz is the rink closest to the street. Landry is next to the Gaetz and is separated by the parking lot.
We would like to briefly address our injury policy.
In the players' best interests, any injury that results in a player missing games or receiving treatment by a physician requires a clearance note from a physician before the player will be allowed back on the ice. This note will also serve to close out the accident form that is generated at the time of injury, and will be kept in confidence.
While we do not wish to place an additional burden on you, such prudence is required for the long-term health of all of our children.
Thank you for your cooperation.
If you have any questions, please contact your division director or the players representative in person, or email the appropriate one at:
